Swedona Lutheran Church was established on March 7, 1859. We are a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, Northern Illinois Synod, Southwest Conference. We are a member of the Edwards River Ministry which includes Grace, Ophiem; Swedona; Bethany, Woodhull and Calvary, New Windsor.
We are known for our annual Ice Cream Social which is held in July and our Sr. Citizen Soup Lunches throughout the winter months. As a congregation we endorse a Relay for Life Team. Christian Education is an important part of this congregation with Sunday School and an Adult Bible Class meeting on Sunday mornings.
